11Will Serfort
A Student at the Regarden Magical Academy
Will Serfort is the main character ofWistoria: Wand and Sword.He is a sixth-year student at Regarden Magical Academy. As mentioned earlier, he has no magical ability whatsoever, buthe is blessed with a superhuman body.That’s why he is way stronger and faster than regular people.
Years before the story, Will promised his beloved childhood friend that they would always be together. That friend is Elfaria, one of the current Magia Vander. This promise is the only reason why he never gives up and keeps moving forward despite the countless hardships and humiliations that he has experienced throughout the years.
10Elfaria Albis Serfort
One of the Current Magia Vander
When she was just a little girl, Elfaria managed to create an original Ice Magic spell, which qualified her to become the youngest ever Magia Vander. As the years go by, this prodigy creates more and more original magic. To this day, Elfaria has created 12 magic spells,an unprecedented feat for such a young Magia Vander.This makes her one of the most, if not the most, accomplished Magia Vander in history.
Compared to her fellow Magia Vander, Elfaria tends to speak the least. She rarely talks unless it’s absolutely necessary to do so, and would much rather spend her time developing new magic than socialize with other Magia Vander. Besides, despite having reached the pinnacle of magic, what she wants the most in this world is to be together with Will. So she sees no point in trying to get closer to other people.
9Colette Loire
Colette Loire is a sixth-year student at the Regarden Magical Academy. She is one of the few people who becomes a close friend to Will. Not only that, she is also willing to stand up to her classmates whenever they bully Will. Both of them are often found studying together in the library, which is why they both have excellent academic grades.
Colette comes from a former noble family. Something terrible happened to them in the past and now they’ve lost their title and most of their privileges. That’s why Colette often finds it embarrassing to say her last name in public. Colette specializes in Earth Magic, though she prefers to cast large-scale magic and is rather bad at magic spells that require delicate control. One other thing, Colette seems to beromantically attracted to Will.
8Sion Alster
Similar to Colette, Sion Alster is one of Will’s classmates at Regarden Magical Academy. As a matter of fact, Sion is one of the people whooften ridicules and even bullies Will.He finds it abhorrent how an untalented person like Will gets to study at the most prestigious academy in the land. He even goes as far as wanting Will to be expelled from the academy. But Sion slowly warmed up to Will after he saved Sion from a terrible monster in the dungeon.
Sion is a talented Fire Mage. He can cast quite a few advanced offensive magic and can easily clear low-level monsters without breaking a sweat. What he severely lacks is real-life combat experience, which happens to be something that Will has an abundance of. That’s why if Will hadn’t come and saved him, Sion would’ve lost his life. Thanks to this, Sion has become painfully aware of Will’s true talent, which frustrates him to no end.
7Rosti Naumann
Rosti Naumann is not only a fellow student at Regarden, but he is also Will’s roommate. He is a kind boy who alwayspays close attention to Will’s well-being.He likes to cook for Will and pick up some good clothes for him because Will barely cares about any of those. He always worries whenever Will pushes himself over the limit during his regular dungeon dive.
Rosti’s biggest role in Will’s life, however, is in creating numerous magical tools for Will. After all, as a magic engineer, Rosti specializes in developing magic tools for various purposes and he is more than happy to create different tools that can help Will win his fight. One of his creations appeared in episode 3, which was a hand grenade that helped Will take down a huge ice monster.
6Julius Reinberg
In Regarden Magical Academy, there are a maximum of 12000 credits that a student can acquire throughout their time in the academy. They only need 7000 credits to graduate, so obtaining anything more than 10000 credits is truly the mark of an unparalleled genius who’s much better at magic than any other student. Julius Reinberg is one of the three students who have acquired over 10000 credits, making him one of the top three students in the academy.
Among the top three,Julius is the most disagreeable one,by far. He has a superiority complex, is extremely narcissistic, and likes to bully those he deems to be inferior to him, such as Will. In many ways, he is a much worse version of Sion Alster. That being said, he is the main reason why Will eventually decided to join the Grand Magic Festival, so in a way, he is responsible for introducing Will’s true ability to the world.
5Lihanna Owenzaus
Similar to Julius, Lihanna is also one of the top three students at the Regarden Academy. In fact, with close to 12000 credits, she is actually one of the best students in the Academy’s long history.Her nickname is Miss Perfectbecause she is literally perfect in anything that she’s done. From academics to magic and even to athletic performance, Lihanna aces them all.
Lihanna herself is a girl with a few words. She prefers concrete actions and solid results over feelings and emotions. She has a pragmatic view of the world and will make decisions solely based on the facts at hand. And just like other high-performing students in this magical academy, she too aspires to become someone who can sit on the pinnacle of the wizarding world.
4Wignall Lindor
In the world ofWistoria: Wand and Sword,elves are considered a noble race.They are well-known as a race that excels in magic, particularly illusion magic. As one of the few elves in the academy, Wignall receives countless admiration from the other students. And as expected, he quickly rose to be among the top three exemplary students in the academy.
Wignall takes great pride in his noble lineage. That’s why he only associates with those who he deems to be better or at least on par with him. Interestingly enough, underneath his calm demeanor, Wignall is actually a sly person who won’t hesitate to take advantage of other people’s misfortunes in order to get ahead, which seems to be a trait shared by the other top three students.
3Iris X. Stellamaris aka Iris Churchwill
A Watcher for the Magia Vander
Will meets Iris for the first time in episode 3 when he ventures inside the dungeon looking for an ice monster called the Frost Walker. At the time, Iris introduced herself as Iris Churchill, a junior student from Regarden Magical Academy.The truth, however, is quite different.Iris’s real name is actually Iris X. Stellamaris and she is a watcher for the current Magia Vender.
As a Watcher, one of Iris’s main responsibilities is to find promising talents among the students and recommend them to the Magia Vander who’ll decide whether or not these candidates deserve to join the Magia Vander’s faction. Iris knows about Will from Elfaria but she is a bit hesitant at first because she knows Will can’t use magic. But when she sees him in action, Iris instantly becomes a fan.
2Workner Norgram
A Teacher at the Regarden Magical Academy
Workner is a teacher at Regardenand he is also the one who’s been taking care of Will since the moment he enrolls in the academy. At the start of the series, Workner is the only one, other than the headmaster, who knows about Will’s superhuman strength. He knows that in a straight one-on-one duel, Will is way stronger than most mages in the academy.
That’s why he always finds ways to help Will earn more academic credits to make up for the lack of his magical ability. One of those ways is by hunting certain monsters in the dungeon. At first, Workner only intends for Will to use the dungeon sparingly. Unbeknownst to him, Will ends up diving into the dungeon every day, accumulating more injuries with each dive. While Workner understands why, he still scolds Will whenever he catches the boy going to the dungeon.
