The War WithinisWorld of Warcraft’s10th expansion and the colossal MMORPG shows no signs of stopping anytime soon. Asthe World-Soul Sagabegins, an entire expansion worth of content awaits players in the depths of Khaz Algar. If there is anything that has been a constantinWoWexpansionsover the years, it is an increase to the level cap. The War Within continues this tradition, and here is what the level cap is along with what to do once you reach it.

What is the Level Cap in The War Within?
The level cap forThe War Withinis Level 80. For players who quit the game years ago, this may seem confusing, as Level 80 was the cap back duringWrath of the Lich King. Back at the start ofShadowlands, Blizzard squished levels down so that at the start of the expansion, players who were previously Level 120 were Level 50 instead.
Can You Reach Level Cap Through Just the Campaign?
While the leveling campaign is a great source of gold, renown, and gear upgrades, it isn’t enough to get you to Level 80. By just focusing on the campaign and doing nothing else, the campaign can get you at least to Level 78. So if you want to be close to Level 80 if not already there by the time the campaign wraps up, you’ll want to take time to do side quests.
Campaign quests have the shield and exclamation point, while regular side quests just have the traditional exclamation point. Side quests are also a good source of upgrades as well, so it is best not to ignore them.
In addition, verify that you are doing any Delve-related quests you find. You get a good amount of EXP just for completing those quests, and you get an EXP boost as a reward forcompleting a Delve. Since you can also get some decent upgrades on your way to Level 80, there is no downside to taking a break from the campaign to work on side objectives.
What To Do When You Reach Level Cap
Once you’ve reached level cap and you’ve completed the campaign, that is whereThe War Withintruly begins. Once all four factions have reached Rank 4 renown, you will unlock the Level 80 campaign which continues the story. At this point, you will also have unlocked world quests which can be a good source for gear and Weathered Harbinger Crests.
As you focus on getting better gear, you will eventually be ready to takeon Season 1 endgame content(once it has started). So, whether that is Tier Four or higher Delves, Mythic Dungeons, or Nerub-ar Palace, getting to level cap is only just the beginning.
