Chinese studio Kuro Games gave a preview of all new things, ranging from gameplay additions to cosmetics, that are planned for The Black Shores update. This lineup primarily includes The Black Shores area, aResonator character named Youhu, a new boss, a story quest from Encore, among other things. In its announcement, the developer didn’t state any release date but mentioned that the new content was “currently in development.”

Headlining the content update is its new location called The Black Shores, which the developer describes as a mysterious archipelago hidden from the rest of the game’s world. A new Resonator named Youhu, whose abilities make use of “new QTE mechanics” and enhanceWuthering Waves’s combatis also coming. The update will add portals to “puzzle-solving scenarios,” letting Rovers traverse conveniently from one puzzle challenge to another. Moreover, the preview reveals new opponents such as Hedgepuff and Fallacy of No Return. While Hedgepuff will be a special enemy unlocked after finishing connection quests in The Black Shores, players will encounter the Fallacy of No Return at “the borders between reality and the digital world.” The game is also set to add a new hologram called Inferno Rider, which will bring its own “exciting new challenges.” Further, a companion story from Encore, titled “Small Wooly, Big Adventure,” will see Rovers join the Wooly Warrior for this quest.
