The deal was made in hopes that it would appease the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority, which was one of the final hurdles Microsoft faced when getting its acquisition of theCall of Dutypublisher over the line.
With Microsoft’s deal with Nvidia now in full swing,Xbox and GeForce Now’s integrationcontinues to thrive. As part of its Gamescom announcements, Nvidia has confirmed that GeForce Now users will finally be able to link their Xbox accounts with the streaming service and prevent having to repeatedly log in each time. In a recentblog post, the company noted that this feature is already readily available for the likes of Epic Games and Ubisoft, but will now be extending to Xbox users starting from August 22.
GeForce Now Extends Account-Linking Support to Xbox
Once Xbox users link their accounts with GeForce Now, they will be able to play some of thebiggest PC releases of 2024without having to worry about signing in each time they boot up the service on a new device. Nvidia says by bringing the sync feature to Xbox, members will be able to enjoy a more “unified” gaming experience and will have the ability to instantly play over 140 Xbox Game Pass titles across multiple devices.
Although Microsoft appears to be dead set on allowing Xbox fans to play all of their favorite games without even needing a console, the company did recently confirm the release dates for three new Xbox consoles. While players won’t find any major improvements, there are some upgrades to the internal storage size and even a digital-only version of the Series X. But for fans looking to get a new console just for Game Pass, Microsoft has come under fire in recent months afterhiking the price of Xbox’s subscription service, with some serious changes set to take effect from September 12.
