Once a Yaoling has enough experience, it will show anEvolve buttonfor you to select.

Several Yaolings will be ready to evolve while players are making their way to the second school of the game — and might even evolve an additional time late into the game. In order to get these defeated Demons as members of your team, you will need toreach a specific levelwith a specific Yaoling.
This will come in the form of amechanic that gives you a branching choice of evolution, where you’re able to select toevolve your Yaolinginto itsDemon form. Demons are required to complete yourYaoling Scroll, so capturing multiples of the same Yaoling will be required. If you want to get your hands on a specific Demon that you encountered in the past, open up your Yaoling scroll, find the Demon in question, and then you will see the Yaoling evolution tree above it.
