Normally, collecting Precious and Luxurious chests only rewardsPrimogemsand other valuable items, such as Artifacts inGenshin Impact. In version 5.0, Natlan was released and introduced three tribes, including the Children of Echoes.
When you open Precious or Luxurious chests in the Children of Echoes' area (Tequemecan Valley), there is a chance of obtaining aYellow Obsidian Fragment. Once players collect all three pieces, they can craft them into aYellow Obsidian Ring inGenshin Impact,which canunlock the Obsidian Barrier in the Children of Echoes' tribe area.
Yellow Obsidian Ring & Fragments Locations In Genshin Impact
TheYellow Obsidian Ring inGenshin Impactcan be crafted from the inventory using three Yellow Obsidian Fragments. To get the Fragments, players must open Precious and Luxurious chests in the Children of Echoes area (Tequemecan Valley).The drop is random, so Travelers may have to open all the chests before they get what they need.
There are a lot of chests scattered around the Children of Echoes area that can reward you with three pieces of the Yellow Obsidian Fragments. Some of these chests are locked behind quests orpuzzles inGenshin Impact.
Precious Chest #1
While completing the Revelations from the Pastquest inGenshin Impact, you will find a chest after switching with your Saurian companion and unlocking the seal.
You need to complete Beneath the Crystal Rock and Tracer No Tracing to trigger the Revelations from the Past.
Precious Chest #2
Proceed with the Revelations from the Past quest to find the second Precious chest.
Precious Chest #3
Complete a few more steps in the Revelations from the Past quest.
Precious Chest #4-5 And Luxurious Chest #1
Upon completing the Revelations from the Past quest, players will be transported to another area and claim two Precious chests and one Luxurious.
Precious Chest #6
Solve the puzzle northwest of the Sulfurous Veins by putting the animals in their correct position according to their colors to receive a chest.
Precious Chest #7
Head east from the previouslocation inGenshin Impactand defeat the enemies to unlock the chest.
Precious Chest #8 And Luxurious Chest #2
Proceed south and offer anEmbercore Flowerto unlock the Exquisite chest. Open it to spawn some enemies andrepeat the same steps until you open the Precious and Luxurious chests.
Precious Chest #9
Go east of the Sulfurous Veins and defeat the enemies to unlock the chest.
Precious Chest #10
While completing the Shadows of the Mountain quest, you will get a Red Metal Key near the end that can be used to unlock the gate and obtain a Precious chest.
Precious Chest #11
Another Precious chest is rewarded near the completion of the Shadows of the Mountain quest.
Luxurious Chest #3
Upon fighting the enemies and completing the Shadows of the Mountain quest, Travelers will receive a Precious chest.
Precious Chest #12
Just east of the cave, glide down and solve the puzzle by transforming into a Tepetlisaurus to start solving the puzzle. Once the small cave is accessible, go and claim the chest inside.
Precious Chest #13
Climb back to the top and head east to defeat the enemies and unlock the chest.
Precious Chest #14
Head east from the Sulfurous Veins’ Waypoint and help all three Monetoos reach their destination to access this chest.
Luxurious Chest #4
Travel southeast of Huitztli Hill and head to the pond. Search the area for three Monetoos and guide them back to open a secret cave. Go inside and enjoy the Luxurious chest.
Precious Chest #15
Keep going in the same direction and defeat the group of enemies to spawn a chest.
Precious Chest #16
Continue south and solve the fire brazierpuzzle inGenshin Impactto get the chest.
Luxurious Chest #5
Go south of the Huitztli Hill and speak with Chuno inside the tent. You must find and give him fourIridescent Inscription Fragments inGenshin Impactto receive the chest as a reward.
Precious Chest #17-18-19
There are a total of threeChildren of The Echoes Master Trainers that reward a Precious chestupon completing their challenge with the highest score.
