While you spend much of the timecontrolling your character, there are times when you have to rely on the puzzles inZenless Zone Zeroto progress further. These puzzles generally appear when you are exploring the Hollow and find a plethora of TV screens.
That’s where the fun begins, as each screen features a unique icon that can either assist you or steer you toward dangerous encounters with powerful adversaries. Fortunately, each icon has a specific outcome, and to understand what each one signifies, be sure to read this guide.
All Zenless Zone Zero Icons
While exploring the Hollow, you’ll encounter a variety of event icons displayed on TV screens, each with a unique pictorial representation and specific meaning. Below, we’ve compiled tables detailing the Event Log, including their visual representation in the Hollow and a description of each icon. Here is a list of all the icons along with their descriptions
Description
Start
This represents the initial point where you will begin your journey within a Hollow.
Target
The assigned point you will have to reach to complete your current objective.
Unexplored areas that represent new and uncharted territories.
Fissure Leading Deeper
A one-way path that will take you deep into the Hollow, without any chance of returning
Downward Passage
A passage that allows you to return and offers flexibility in your exploration.
Fissure Leading Outside
A one-way path that will take you to the upper floor of the Hollow, without any chance of returning.
Upward Passage
A portal that will return you to the previous floor, allowing backtracking.
Secret Path
A hidden area that requires a certain cost or condition if you want to access it.
Surprise Box Area
It transports you to a random location within the Hollow, and adds an element of surprise.
No Loitering Zone
A special exit area that forces you to leave a certain part of the Hollow.
Observations
Points where you can discover the next route or objective by observing the environment.
Mechanisms or equipment need to be activated to progress.
Button Switch
Hold down the button to activate it, usually requires an item to be placed on it to remain activated.
Reset Button
Resets the position of items during puzzles, allowing you to correct mistakes.
Tracks
Stepping on these items quickly transports you to the end of the tracks.
Closed Gate – Wealth
Closed Gate – Puzzle
Gates blocked by a specific mechanism that needs solving to unlock.
Blocks containing Dennies, the in-game currency.
Gear Coin Case
Contains Gear Coins, which you can use to open gates that are blocked.
Areas or events that increase your Pressure.
Provides a random item when accessed.
Gacha
Grants a Resonator, a temporary ally that assists you for a short period.
Encounters with normal enemies that pose a standard threat.
Peril
Battles against tougher opponents that are more challenging than normal enemies.
Impasse
The most formidable enemies in the Hollow, who will present significant challenges.
Gate-Keeper
Enemies that must be defeated to progress further within the Hollow.
Investigator
Pioneers of the Hollow who can temporarily join you as allies.
Hollow Raider
Raiders who may be friendly or hostile, adding a sense of unpredictability.
Sites where armed soldiers and military vehicles are stationed.
Blocks that you can push aside to clear a path.
Movable Obstacle
Pushable blocks that you can switch places with the Bangboo when they are up against a wall.
A moving train that can be encountered within the Hollow.
Call for Support
An event where you can recruit a new Agent to join your party.
